DESCRIPTION:Signs of Solidarity Group\, a joint project of Indivisible Denver Action (IDA) and Immigrant Partnership Teams (IPT) is presenting aBusiness “Know Your Rights” (KYR) canvasses. Volunteers visit businesses and give them materials to suggest ways they can help protect themselves and employees from ICE raids by knowing their constitutional rights. \nOur next Business Know Your Rights training is in SE Denver at Florida and Dahlia. This training is on Sunday\, February 15\, 2026. From 1:00-3:00 PM. SUMMARY:Community Defense Groups - Virtual Training - We Keep Us Safe: El Pueblo Unido Contra ICE
DESCRIPTION:This training will cover the basics of how to get started organizing a community defense group and patrols to protect our neighbors that are being targeted by this fascist regime. There are many roles behind the scenes and a lot of footwork involved\, especially for those of us not currently connected within our community. Having strong community connections and support is essential for all of us to endure and prevail against authoritarianism! Every community is different\, but this training will give you basic guidelines to follow and safety tips. We will cover the early steps\, how to structure a rapid response team in the event of an ICE encounter\, and some other ways to help outside of patrols. This training will be useful even if you have already started organizing! \nThis training will be entirely virtual and open to the public. You can RSVP on our encrypted form here so we can send you the link to the training and a follow up email or click the zoom link provided in the details section at 2pm on Febuary 15th! We understand that many of us are hesitant to share personal information with strangers\, and we don’t require registration for attendance. \nThis training is presented by We Keep Us Safe: El Pueblo Unido Contra ICE. We Keep Us Safe is a grassroots initiative to help the metro Denver area organize proactively and effectively to protect our community members from being illegally and inhumanely kidnapped by ICE. We are developing a hub of resources and best practices targeted towards the Denver area\, but many of the resources are statewide. We are educating and activating community members through canvassing\, training\, and outreach. Our goal is to support interested volunteers across the Metro Denver area in building community and solidarity–and to support volunteers in effectively self-organizing in the face of state violence.
